Apple has just announced a major shakeup to its digital subscription services. In a highly anticipated move, Apple adds Apple TV and Arcade to iCloud+ subscriptions at no extra cost, delivering a massive boost in value for users. As part of this transition, the tech giant is also ending new sign-ups for its popular all-in-one bundle, Apple One, in regions like India.
Here is everything you need to know about the revamped iCloud+ plans, the future of Apple One, and how these changes will impact your digital entertainment.
What’s New in the iCloud+ Plan?
Traditionally, iCloud+ was solely focused on cloud storage and enhanced privacy features like Hide My Email and Private Relay. Now, it is transforming into a full-fledged entertainment hub.
Starting this month, anyone with an active iCloud+ subscription will automatically gain access to:
- Apple TV: Stream award-winning originals, blockbuster movies, and hit shows like Ted Lasso and Severance.
- Apple Arcade: Enjoy unlimited access to over 200 premium, ad-free games, including NBA 2K26 and Football Manager 26 Touch.
- Curated Music Stations: While full on-demand Apple Music isn’t included, iCloud+ subscribers get access to ad-free, curated Apple Music Stations.
This means that even the base 50GB iCloud+ plan now acts as an entry pass to Apple’s premium video and gaming ecosystems.

Farewell to Apple One for New Users
With iCloud+ absorbing the core entertainment services, Apple One will no longer be available to new subscribers in regions where this change is rolling out. Furthermore, standalone subscriptions for Apple TV and Apple Arcade are also being phased out for new customers.
What if you already have Apple One?
Don’t worry. Existing Apple One subscribers can either continue with their current plan without any interruptions or choose to switch over to the newly revamped iCloud+ offering.
What About Apple Music?
Because the new iCloud+ bundle only includes curated radio stations, users who want the full, on-demand Apple Music experience (complete with Spatial Audio and offline downloads) will need to purchase it separately.
Even with the requirement to purchase Apple Music as a standalone service, the combined cost of the base iCloud+ plan and an Apple Music subscription may still be comparable to—or slightly cheaper than—the old Apple One bundles.

Pricing and Availability
The best part about this update is the pricing. Apple is not increasing the cost of existing iCloud+ plans. For example, in India, the base 50GB iCloud+ plan remains at just ₹75 per month. At this price point, subscribers get cloud storage, premium privacy features, Apple TV, and Apple Arcade. Users can still upgrade to higher storage tiers (like the 2TB plan for ₹749/month) or share their subscription with up to five family members via Apple’s Family Sharing feature. Apple is rolling out these changes gradually across more than 100 countries this month.
Why This is a Big Deal
By bundling high-quality streaming and gaming into its cheapest cloud storage tier, Apple is aggressively expanding its services footprint. Users who previously only paid for extra photo storage are now automatically enrolled in Apple’s entertainment ecosystem—making it much harder to leave the walled garden.
If you are currently paying for iCloud+, keep an eye on your Apple TV and Apple Arcade apps; your free access should be active soon!
